Alphabet’s CEO Sundar Pichai to Resign Soon: Investor Samir Arora Claims Job Loss Possible Due to Gemini-AI’s Failure
Samir Arora, the founder of Helios Capital, has suggested that Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google’s parent company Alphabet, may resign or be removed from the company due to the failure of Jainine, an AI chatbot developed under his leadership. A user on social media platform X queried Samir Arora regarding his views on the global publication of controversies related to Gemini. In response, Samir Arora stated, “I believe that Sundar Pichai may be demoted or resign. Despite the advancements in Jainine-AI, they have been completely unsuccessful, while other companies have overtaken AI.”
Google launched its new artificial intelligence (AI) model, Gemini, three months before competing with ChatGPT. Indeed, Google rebranded its chatbot board as Gemini. These AI tools function much like humans in understanding semantics, reasoning, coding, and planning.
Google claims that Gemini performs better in comprehension, reasoning, coding, and planning than other models. According to Google, users can now connect with the Gemini Pro 1.0 model in over 230 countries and 40 languages.
Gemini is based on the Massive Multitask Language Understanding (MMLU) model. In benchmark tests, Gemini outperformed ChatGPT 4 in 30 out of 32 benchmarks. Gemini Pro performed better in 6 out of 8 benchmarks compared to the free version of ChatGPT, GPT 3.5.
Gemini AI has been embroiled in controversy since its launch. On February 23, Google apologized for the faulty rollout of its AI image generator. Google’s Gemini acknowledged that its tool wasn’t functioning properly in some cases. Following the escalation of the controversy, Google decided to temporarily shut down its Gemini AI image generator.
