Elon Musk is going to change the logo of micro blogging site Twitter. This change will take place from tomorrow. They can ‘X’ the logo. Musk confirmed this in a conversation on the Twitter space with a user named Greg. When Musk was asked if he was actually going to change Twitter’s logo, he answered in the affirmative.
Along with this he created a poll on Twitter and wrote, ‘Change the default platform color to black.’ More than 4.50 lakh people have voted in this poll till 12 noon. Most people have so far chosen black between black and white. Elon Musk has had a connection with the letter ‘X’ since 1999. One of his companies was called X.com.
Musk has shared a video in which the Twitter logo is seen changing to an X. With this he wrote, ‘If a good X logo is posted tonight, we will live it worldwide tomorrow.’ Musk wrote in another tweet, ‘Soon we will be saying goodbye to the Twitter brand and slowly to all birds.
Musk’s Connection With Letter X Since 1999
Elon Musk’s association with the letter X dates back to 1999. He created an online banking company called X.com. Later he merged it with another company which became ‘PayPal’. In 2017 Musk repurchased the URL “X.com” from PayPal. He tweeted that the domain was of ‘very high value’ to him.
At the same time, when Elon Musk made Linda Yachirano the new CEO of Twitter, he tweeted, “Looking forward to working with Linda to transform the platform into the X Everything app.” X also appears in his other company SpaceX.
