Apple Rolls Out iOS 18 Update in India: Features Lock & Hide Apps, Available at 10:30 PM

Apple has started rolling out the iOS 18 software update for iPhone users today, September 16. Indian iPhone users will receive this update starting at 10:30 PM tonight. This update includes various features such as home screen customization, lock screen customization, control center customization, text effects, and options to lock and hide apps.

The company provided information about these features at the WWDC event in June this year. Initially, Apple Intelligence will not be available in this update. However, the Apple Intelligence update will come with the latest iPhone 16 series and iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models.

Home Screen Customization

With this feature, users can place app icons anywhere on the home screen. Users will also have the option to create app icons in dark colors and enlarge them without text.

Message Scheduling

The iOS 18 update will allow iPhone users to schedule messages. After selecting a time, users can write their message and send it, which will be delivered to the recipient at the chosen time.

Text Effects

After the update, users will be able to select text and add effects to it. Users can send messages with these effects. Android smartphone users will also receive RCS support for better messaging.

Lock and Hide Apps

Following the iOS 18 update, iPhone users will have the option to lock and hide apps. Users can use Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode to lock and hide apps.

Updated Photos Application

Apple is updating the Photos app in iOS 18, which will include several new features. Users will be able to view their photo library all at once. You will also be able to view your photos according to themes.
