Apple Unveils New 14-Inch MacBook Pro with M3 Chip Starting at Rs. 1.69 Lakhs

On Tuesday, Apple launched M3 series chips and accompanying devices in its special event “Scary Fast.” These devices include the MacBook Pro 14, MacBook Pro 16, and iMac. The MacBook now comes in Space Gray color for the first time.

Apple’s new M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max chips are built on 3nm technology, a significant advancement from M1 and M2, which were launched several months ago. This time, Apple has introduced the M3 series, including M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max, simultaneously.

The starting price of the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the new M3 chip is 1.69 lakh INR, while the MacBook Pro with the M3 Max chip is priced at 3.19 lakh INR, offering up to 22 hours of battery life. Apple claims to have reduced fan noise significantly in these devices.

Apple claims that the M3 Max chip in the new MacBook Pro offers 11 times the performance of an Intel chip, which is a significant leap. These devices are available for order and will be in stores from November 7th, including in Mumbai’s BKC and Delhi’s Saket stores.

The new MacBook Pro comes in two sizes: 14 inches and 16 inches, and the starting price for the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M3 chip is 1.69 lakh INR, while the 16-inch MacBook Pro with M3 Pro and M3 Max chips starts at 2.49 lakh INR.

The iMac has also been updated with the M3 chip and starts at 1.34 lakh INR for the initial 250 GB storage variant.

The M3 chips are the first-ever personal computer chips made with 3nm technology. They pack more transistors into smaller spaces, resulting in faster and more efficient performance. Apple’s M3 family introduces next-gen GPUs, and the company claims they are faster and more efficient. Dynamic caching technology is introduced for faster rendering speed.

This year, Apple hosted three events, the first being WWDC23 on June 23, where the company launched the thinnest MacBook Air with a 15-inch display, new processors for its Mac and MacBook line, and other products.

The second event took place on September 12 in California. In the Wanderlust event, Apple launched the iPhone 15 series, including iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Ultra 2, with prices starting at 79,990 INR. The event featured the first-ever type-C port for iPhones.

Apple’s third event in 2023 happened on October 31, starting offline but moving online due to unprecedented circumstances. It was a noteworthy event because it was held in the evening, unlike most Apple events that usually occur in the morning.
