Vivo V40e Launching on September 25: 3D AMOLED Display, 50MP Selfie Camera, 5500mAh Battery

Chinese tech company Vivo is set to launch the second smartphone in the Vivo V40 series, the “Vivo V40e,” in the Indian market on September 25. The company has shared this information on its website and social media platforms.

Specifications of the Upcoming Phone

Along with confirming the launch date, Vivo has also shared several specifications of the upcoming phone. Similar to the recently launched smartphone, the upcoming phone will feature a 5500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.

The company claims that with this battery capacity, it will be the thinnest smartphone in the segment in the Indian market. Additionally, the smartphone will feature a 3D AMOLED curved display with a peak brightness of 4500 nits and a 50MP selfie camera. The starting price in the Indian market is expected to be around ₹28,000.

ZEISS Camera and Photography Features

Like the previous smartphones, the Vivo V40e will also have a ZEISS telephoto portrait camera. ZEISS cameras are known for their high-quality craftsmanship and excellent light intensity. The camera includes features like standard autofocus lens and manual focus.

  • Display: Both Vivo V40 smartphones come with a 6.78-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a peak brightness of 2,800 nits and a resolution of 1260×2800 pixels.
  • Main Camera: The Vivo V40’s back panel features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 main camera and a 50MP wide-angle camera. Meanwhile, the Vivo V40 Pro’s triple-camera setup includes the Sony IMX921 main camera, a 50MP wide-angle camera, and a 50MP Sony IMX816 (ZEISS) telephoto camera.
  • Selfie Camera: Both smartphones come with a 50MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
  • Battery and Charging: Both smartphones have a 5500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
  • Processor: The Vivo V40 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, while the Vivo V40 Pro has a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor. Both smartphones run on Funtouch OS 14, based on Android 14.
  • Other Features: The phones come with smart color temperature adjustment, distance-sensitive lighting, studio-quality aura light, and ZEISS professional portrait cameras. The smartphones also feature an in-display fingerprint sensor and a Type-C charging port.
