South Korean company Samsung’s global ‘Galaxy Unpacked Event 2024’ will begin today (July 10) at 06:30 PM IST. During this live event, the company will launch the ‘Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6’ and ‘Galaxy Z Flip 6’.
Additionally, Samsung will tease its upcoming VR headset, which it is developing in collaboration with Google. The company may also launch the Galaxy Ring and several AI features.
This event will be held in Paris, France, as an in-person event, but it will be live-streamed on YouTube. It can be watched live on the company’s official website, social media account X, and YouTube.
Folding Devices to Come with AI Features
Samsung will introduce its upcoming foldable smartphones with Galaxy AI, allowing users to utilize the AI features found in the Samsung Galaxy S24 series. This new generation of foldable phones will be more powerful and advanced than before.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6: Estimated Price ₹1,50,000
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 smartphone is expected to launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 octa-core processor. You can get options for 12GB RAM and 1TB storage. According to media reports, the phone is built on a titanium frame, and its folding mechanism will be better than before.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 may feature a 7.6-inch 2X Dynamic AMOLED main screen and a 6.3-inch cover screen. Both screens are likely to have a 120Hz refresh rate, with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the cover display. For photography, it may offer a 50MP OIS + 12MP + 10MP triple camera setup on the rear panel and a 10MP + 4MP selfie sensor on the front panel. It could come with a 4,400mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Smartphone: Estimated Price ₹90,000
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 5G smartphone may feature a 6.7-inch main screen and a 3.9-inch cover display. It will have a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel, with both screens likely to have a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the cover display.
For processing, this phone will also be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. You can get options for 8GB RAM and 512GB storage. For photography, it may offer a 50MP + 12MP rear camera and a 32MP selfie camera. For power backup, a 4000mAh battery might be available.
Samsung to Introduce New Wearable Technology
According to media reports, Samsung might introduce wearable technology at the Galaxy Unpacked event, most likely the Galaxy Ring. The Galaxy Ring will allow users to track and monitor their fitness, heart rate, blood pressure, and other health metrics.
The event is also expected to announce the Galaxy Buds 3 series with improved Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and the Galaxy Ring. Additionally, the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch 7 Ultra will be launched. It is believed that these will be Samsung’s first smartwatches featuring Galaxy AI.
