Google’s Powerful Pixel Phone to Launch Next Week: Features & Price Leaked Ahead of ‘Made by Google’ Event
The Wait for Google Pixel 9 Ends Next Week
Google’s “Made by Google” event is scheduled to kick off on August 13th at 10:30 PM, bringing the much-anticipated launch of four new Pixel devices: the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Notably, this is the first time Google is hosting its event in August, deviating from its usual September timeline. This move might be an attempt to avoid clashing with Apple’s own device launches, which are expected in September.
While the new Pixel phones are yet to be officially announced, several features have already been leaked. According to various media reports, the Pixel 9 is expected to feature a 6.3-inch display and could be available in Black, Gray, Porcelain, and Pink color options. The camera setup is anticipated to be similar to that of previous models. The phone is likely to be powered by the new Tensor G4 chipset and may come with up to 12GB of RAM.
4,942mAh Battery Expected
The Google Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL are also expected to be equipped with the Tensor G4 SoC, possibly coming with 16GB of RAM. The Pro model might have a 4,558mAh battery, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL could feature a 4,942mAh battery.
10-Megapixel Camera Possible
As for the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, it is expected to have a 6.4-inch cover display and an 8-inch internal display. The rear of the Pixel Fold is likely to feature a triple camera setup, including a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 10.5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto shooter. For selfies and video calls, a 10-megapixel front camera is expected.
Expected Price
The Pixel 9 is expected to be priced between €899 in Europe and $599 to $799 in the US. The Google Pixel 9 Pro’s price might start at £1,099 for the 128GB variant, £1,199 for the 256GB variant, and £1,329 for the 512GB variant in the UK.
