Railways Introduces 2 Special Trains for Coldplay Concert: Mumbai to Ahmedabad on Jan 25-26; Check Timings, Stops & High Flight Fares
British rock band Coldplay, renowned worldwide for its songs and music, is currently creating a buzz in India with its “Music of the Spheres” world tour. As the band’s music concerts gain immense popularity, Western Railway has decided to launch a special train to accommodate the growing crowd for the Coldplay shows.
This special train will operate between Mumbai and Ahmedabad on January 25 and 26. Notably, flight fares during these two days are reported to be between ₹8,000 and ₹10,000.
This train service is specifically aimed at those traveling to attend the concert. According to railway officials, the train is part of the winter special train services, but its primary purpose is to manage the large crowd expected for the show.
The trains will depart from Bandra Terminus at 6:15 AM and will reach Ahmedabad at 2:00 PM on January 25 and 1:00 PM on January 26. For the return journey, the trains will leave Ahmedabad at 1:40 PM and reach Bandra Terminus by 8:40 PM.

Flight Fares Surge by ₹8,000 to ₹10,000 Due to Coldplay Concert
Officials have reported a steep rise in airfares between Mumbai and Gujarat’s largest city due to the Coldplay concert. On January 25 and 26, flight fares are estimated to be ₹8,000 to ₹10,000 higher than usual.
The officials also stated that considering Coldplay’s immense popularity and the railway’s previous experience during the Cricket World Cup, even the two winter special trains might not be sufficient to handle the crowd.
Additionally, for the Coldplay concerts scheduled at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium on January 18, 19, and 21, the railway has arranged suburban local trains. These trains will run exclusively for event attendees between Goregaon and Nerul stations.
