Railways Renames Vande Metro, Prime Minister Modi to Flag Off the First Train Today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to flag off the country’s first Vande Metro train today. Before this, the Railways has made a significant decision. The name of the Vande Metro has been changed to Namo Bharat Rapid Rail. The country’s first Namo Bharat Rapid Rail will run between Bhuj and Ahmedabad.
Previously, the name of the RRTS was changed from RapidX to Namo Bharat. The country’s first Namo Bharat train will operate between Delhi and Meerut, with some sections already commenced. Along with this, Prime Minister Modi will also flag off six Vande Bharat trains.
India’s First Namo Bharat Rapid Rail to Run Between Bhuj and Ahmedabad
The country’s first Namo Bharat Rapid Rail will commence its service between Bhuj and Ahmedabad. This train will operate six days a week. Every Sunday, there will be no service from Bhuj, and no service from Ahmedabad on Saturdays.
It will make stops at Anjar, Gandhidham, Bhachau, Samakhiyali, Halvad, Dhangadhra, Viramgam, Chandlodia, and Sabarmati along the route. The train will depart from Bhuj at 05:05 AM and arrive in Ahmedabad at 10:50 AM. On its return journey, the train will leave Ahmedabad at 05:30 PM and reach Bhuj at 11:10 PM.
Ticket Fare Details for Vande Metro Train
The Vande Metro train will stop at 9 stations during its journey. Each stop will last approximately 2 minutes, and the total journey will be completed in 5 hours and 45 minutes. The fare list for the Vande Metro train has also been released.
The minimum fare is ₹28. Additional charges include a superfast surcharge, reservation charge, and GST.
Vande Metro Train Fare Details
If you travel up to 50 kilometers on the Vande Metro train, you will need to pay ₹60 plus GST and other applicable charges. For each additional kilometer, there is an incremental fare of ₹1.20. This makes it more affordable compared to the AC suburban trains operating in Mumbai.
