Metro Service Between Motera and Mahatma Mandir to Begin After September 16: Route Details
Starting from the second week of September, metro trains will begin operating between Motera and Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Gujarat on September 16-17, and the inauguration of this route is expected to be part of his visit. During his Gujarat tour, Prime Minister Modi may officially launch this new metro route.
Metro Route Inspection and Launch Timeline Update
In the first week of last month, the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) conducted an inspection of the route. There was a possibility that the route could have started around August 15, but now it will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister.
However, GMRC has not yet made any official announcement regarding this. According to available information, the metro train operations between Mahatma Mandir and GIFT City are still ongoing, and the likelihood of this route starting by the end of this year remains uncertain.
