Holiday Package Scam: 4 Nights, 8 Days of Deception Every Year for a Decade; ₹5.18 Lakh Fraud Complaint Lodged
In the city of Vadodara, complaints of cheating with travel packages have surfaced. Among these, one complaint has been registered with the Vadodara Taluka police station. The complainant has accused four individuals of cheating him of Rs. 5.18 lakh under the guise of a holiday package every year for the past ten years. The complainant has registered the complaint against a park priviera company’s director along with two others.
Allegations of Deceiving Trust with Holiday Packages
The complainant, who had been promised a holiday package, expressed his trust. According to the complaint, the director of park priviera Holidays Company, Rahul Gupta, along with company employees Suyal Rajput and Nishith Srivastava, had taken Rs. 1,17,000 from the complainant over ten years, promising a seven-night and eight-day holiday package annually.
Cheating Cases Exceeding 5.18 Lakhs
Subsequently, after two years, it was revealed that no bookings were made as per the promised scheme in the package, and when the complainant called their mobile numbers, the phones were switched off. There was no way to contact them. Moreover, in this cheating case, Mayank Vilasrao Vaidya received Rs. 1,05,000, Amit Rameshchandra Sharma received Rs. 52,999, Jigneshkumar Ishwarbhai Patel received Rs. 85,000, and Alpaben Sandipbhai Desai received Rs. 1,58,900, totaling Rs. 5,18,899, which was cheated from the complainant. Therefore, a complaint has been registered.
Crimes of Deception Documented
Taking note of these fraudulent activities, the Taluka police have recorded the crimes of deception against the company’s director, Rahul Gupta (currently residing near Bharat Mata Chok Bypass, Harmu Road, Ranchi, Jharkhand, presently residing in Subhanpura, Vadodara, opposite 404 Shree Nath Darshan Apartment Ellora Mill Center), along with two employees, Suyal Rajput and Nishith Srivastava (whose addresses are not disclosed), and are taking further action.
