New Ahmedabad Airport to Vadodara Direct Bus Service Launching Tomorrow
Transportation Convenience from Vadodara to Ahmedabad Airport
If you reside in Vadodara and your flight departs from Ahmedabad airport, you may not need to rely on rail or taxi services to reach the airport anymore. Starting from May 9, 2024, the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has initiated intercity bus services from Vadodara to Ahmedabad airport. It’s worth noting that GSRTC had previously launched direct bus services from Ahmedabad airport to Rajkot in February last year. Following its success, GSRTC will now introduce bus services from Vadodara city to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad. This initiative will greatly benefit travelers, including those embarking on their first international journeys and business trips.
Daily Bus Service Between Ahmedabad and Vadodara
The connectivity between Ahmedabad and Vadodara airports is relatively low, despite their international and domestic connections. Therefore, residents there may need to reach Ahmedabad airport at a specific location. If they use this bus service, they can directly reach Ahmedabad airport from Vadodara without changing any other means of transportation, saving considerable time. GSRTC buses will run twice daily from Ahmedabad airport to Vadodara, meaning that four buses will operate daily between the two cities. This implies that there will be two buses shuttling between Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport and Vadodara every day.
Morning and Evening Bus Services from Ahmedabad Airport to Vadodara
Starting at 6:00 AM from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, GSRTC buses will depart for Vadodara, reaching there at 8:30 AM. Another bus will depart in the evening at 11:30 PM from Ahmedabad Airport, reaching Vadodara at 1:30 AM. Additionally, a bus from Vadodara will depart at 3:15 PM to reach Ahmedabad Airport by 5:45 PM. Another evening service will depart from Vadodara at 7:30 PM, arriving at Ahmedabad Airport by 10:00 PM.

This bus will be equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, including onboard entertainment and charging facilities, and will be an air-conditioned Volvo bus. It will depart twice a day from Ahmedabad Airport and twice from Vadodara, allowing passengers to catch their flights conveniently. The timetable of this bus service will be prepared according to flight schedules and timings. Passengers can book their seats online through the GSRTC website or various other travel portals.
Expansion in Cities like Udaipur and Bhuj
This expansion aligns with the vision of SVPI to strengthen its network with GSRTC’s trusted network, creating central hubs. Following the successful launch of direct bus services for Rajkot in February 2024, the network will soon expand to major cities like Udaipur and Bhuj. This transformation positions SVPI as a true gateway to explore the diversity and beauty of Gujarat.
