Restaurant Manager Ignores Complaint
A police officer’s wife was hosting a baby shower event at City Point Restaurant. During the meal, an insect was found in the dal fry. When the complaint was made to the restaurant manager, he did not take it seriously. Some guests left the event without eating due to the incident. The matter has also been reported to the municipal corporation’s food department.
Guests Leave Without Eating
Lelin Chavda, a resident of Bapunagar, reported that the insect was found in the dal fry during his brother’s wife’s baby shower event. City Point Restaurant is popular among residents of Amraiwadi, Rakhial, Gomtipur, and Bapunagar. Upon finding the insect, a complaint was made to the manager, who dismissed it by saying that such things can happen in big establishments and started giving irrelevant excuses. Many guests left the event without eating due to the incident.
Previous Incidents and Hygiene Concerns
Lelin further mentioned that, amid the ongoing epidemic and the presence of the Chandipura virus in the city, such incidents in food items at hotels and restaurants are concerning. The family has lodged a complaint with the municipal corporation’s food department. They also noted that this was not the first time such an incident occurred at this restaurant, and previous complaints had been made about its hygiene standards. Moreover, the air conditioning was also reportedly not functioning properly during their visit. Many people frequent this hotel and restaurant, and the complainants urged the food department to take action against such establishments.
