Corona Resurfaces in Gujarat: Sayaji Hospital in Vadodara Reports 3 COVID Cases in 24 Hours; Also Manages Two Swine Flu Patients
After a prolonged period, Gujarat has witnessed a resurgence of COVID-19 cases. Just two days ago, Ahmedabad reported two cases, followed by Sayaji Hospital in Vadodara handling three COVID-19 cases and two cases of swine flu within the last 24 hours.
The hospital’s protocols for managing COVID-19 cases have been swiftly activated. Fortunately, none of the patients are in critical condition, and medical care is being provided efficiently. Presently, the focus remains on the management of the three COVID-19 cases reported.
Alert: 3 Cases Detected Simultaneously in 24 Hours
Sayaji Hospital in Vadodara handles thousands of patients daily for medical care. Testing for COVID cases is regularly conducted alongside routine cases. However, an alert was raised at Sayaji Hospital as three cases were detected simultaneously within 24 hours.
Among these, three cases were COVID-positive, while two were identified as H1N1, commonly known as swine flu. Presently, all patients are being managed under COVID isolation protocols.
Management Underway for All Patients: Cases of Swine Flu Detected
Sayaji Hospital has admitted patients presenting symptoms of swine flu among others. One case involves a 69-year-old resident from the city’s Navayard area, while another is a 71-year-old from Dodka village.
Alongside, three other patients have tested positive for COVID. Among them is a 41-year-old youth from the city’s Chhani Jakat Naka. Additionally, residents from Navayard and Ajwa Road areas are also battling COVID. Currently, Sayaji Hospital is actively managing all patients, ensuring regular care and treatment.
No Cause for Concern: Dr. Ranjan Iyer
Regarding the recent developments, Dr. Ranjan Iyer, the Superintendent of Sayaji Hospital, expressed during a telephonic conversation that despite the occurrence of three cases within 24 hours, there is no cause for concern.
He assured that all necessary measures are in place and that the hospital is functioning smoothly without any issues.
