Triumph Daytona 660 Launches in India at ₹9.72L: 660cc Rival to Ninja 650

Triumph Daytona 660 Launched in India: Competing with Kawasaki Ninja 650 and Aprilia RS 660

Triumph Motorcycles has introduced the middleweight sport bike, Triumph Daytona 660, in the Indian market on August 29. This premium offering from the British brand comes with an ex-showroom price tag of ₹9.72 lakh.

The Daytona 660 enters the competitive segment, challenging the Kawasaki Ninja 650 (priced at ₹7.16 lakh) and Aprilia RS 660 (priced at ₹17.74 lakh). Launched globally earlier this year in January, the bike’s bookings have already started in India.

Performance: Powered by a 660cc Engine with Slip and Assist Clutch

Under the hood, the Triumph Daytona 660 is equipped with a 660cc liquid-cooled, in-line 3-cylinder, 12-valve engine. This powerhouse generates 94hp at 11,250rpm and a peak torque of 69Nm at 8,250rpm, delivering a robust performance. Notably, the engine begins producing 80% of its peak torque at just 3,150rpm, ensuring a strong and steady power output. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a slip and assist clutch. Additionally, the bike includes a 2-way quickshifter and a traction control system, along with two riding modes—Rain and Road.

Design: Inspired by the Iconic Daytona 675 Model

The design of the Daytona 660 is heavily influenced by the classic Daytona 675, which was previously available in India but discontinued due to stringent emission standards. The 2024 model brings back the iconic look with updated features and styling, offering a blend of performance and comfort tailored for both city rides and track experiences.

The Daytona 660 is available in three distinct color combinations: Satin Granite + Satin Jet Black, Carnival Red + Sapphire Black, and Snowdonia White + Sapphire Black.
