Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor Teaser Released: Company to Launch on April 3, Will Compete with Mahindra XUV300 and Other Compact SUVs
Toyota has released a teaser for its upcoming compact SUV, the Toyota Taisor, on social media platform X. The teaser video is 15 seconds long. The Toyota Taisor is set to be launched on April 3rd, with its price also to be announced on the same day. According to reports, deliveries of the Taisor will begin either by the end of April or at the beginning of May. The Taisor will be Toyota’s smallest SUV in India and will feature similar front-end features to Maruti Suzuki’s models.
The Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor features a design that closely resembles Maruti’s front body panels. However, upon closer inspection of the teaser, several minor differences in design can be observed. The design of the front grille in the teaser also appears slightly different. The SUV comes with alloy wheels, as well as newly designed front and rear bumpers. In addition to these changes, many cosmetic alterations have been made in the teaser. To distinguish the Taisor from the Maruti model, significant changes have been made to its interior. The SUV boasts a 9-inch infotainment screen, a 360-degree camera, and a head-up display, among many other features. Furthermore, it also offers comfort features similar to those found in front-wheel-drive vehicles.
According to reports, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor will be powered by an entry-level 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, similar to the one found in the Ford Figo. Additionally, there could be a Taisor variant powered by a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine. Besides the Tazer, there are also plans to launch a CNG-powered variant shortly after.
In the market, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor will compete with many compact SUVs such as the Maruti Suzuki, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and Mahindra XUV300.
