Skoda Slavia Matte Edition: 15.52 Lakh Launch in Carbon Gray, 5-Star Safety, Rivalry
Skoda Auto India has launched the Skoda Slavia’s MET Edition in India. The company has introduced several cosmetic changes and a matte paint finish based on this car.
The Skoda Slavia’s special MET Edition is based on its top variant and is priced more than the regular version, starting at over ₹40,000. The starting price for Slavia is ₹15.52 lakh. Besides this, Skoda has also added some new features in the Slavia’s Style variant.
This sedan from Skoda is one of the safest cars in its segment, having received a 5-star safety rating in the global NCAP crash test. In the Indian market, the Slavia will compete with cars like Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Honda City, and Volkswagen Vento.

Interior and Exterior Design
In the Skoda Slavia, the Carbon Steel Met paint is used for the exterior, except for its door handles and beltline, which have a chrome finish. Besides that, there aren’t any significant differences in the exterior of the Slavia Met Edition compared to the regular model. It features a dashboard with black and beige colors, similar to the regular model. Skoda has also introduced a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system in their sedan, which had been missing for some time due to the shortage of semiconductor chips. The top variants will now offer electrically adjustable driver and co-driver seats and footwell illumination.
Slavia Met Edition: Specifications
The Slavia Met Edition comes with an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and features like cruise control. For safety, it includes six airbags, hill-hold assist, and a rear parking camera, electronic stability control (ESC), and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Slavia Met Edition: Performance
The Skoda Slavia Met Edition comes with two engine options. It features a 1-liter turbo-petrol engine with 115 PS of power and 178 Nm of maximum torque. Simultaneously, a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine with 150 PS of power and 250 Nm of maximum torque is also available. Both engines are offered with a 6-speed manual transmission, while the 1-liter turbo-petrol engine also comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission, and the 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
