‘Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+’ Launched at ₹66 Lakh: Claims 560km Range on Full Charge, Top Speed 160kmph; Competes with Kia EV6
German automaker Mercedes-Benz has launched its new electric SUV, the ‘Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+’, in India. The starting price of this car is ₹66 lakh (ex-showroom). The company claims that this is its most affordable electric SUV in India.
The Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+ features a 70.5 kWh battery. Once fully charged, it will provide a range of up to 560 kilometers. In India, the Mercedes-Benz EQA will compete with the Kia EV6, BMW iX1, Volvo C40 Recharge, and Volvo XC40 Recharge.
Charging Capabilities and Time for Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+
Charging the Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+ from 10% to 80% takes just 35 minutes. The car comes with dual charging modes, allowing for both AC and DC charging. Using an 11 kW AC charger, the EQA takes seven hours and 15 minutes to charge from 0% to 100%. Meanwhile, with a 100 kW DC charger, it takes 35 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%.
Performance Specifications of Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+
The electric motor of the Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+ is mounted on the front axle, producing a maximum power of 188 bhp and a peak torque of 385 Nm. This Mercedes SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.6 seconds, with a top speed of 160 kmph.
Interior and Exterior Design of Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+
Mercedes-Benz offers the EQA in seven exterior colors: Polar White, High-Tech Silver, Cosmos Black, Mountain Grey, Spectral Blue, Patagonia Red, and Mountain Grey Magno. The interior is available in four color options. Inside the car, there are two 10.25-inch screens on the dashboard, a sporty steering wheel, and turbine-like AC vents.
The EQA features copper-colored highlights around the air vents. In terms of design, the new EQA has LED light bars at both the front and rear, a three-pointed star pattern grille, 19-inch alloy wheels, and wraparound LED tail lights.

The Mercedes-Benz EQA comes with several additional features, including a 10-inch twin screen setup. The car also offers ambient lighting, puddle lamps, illuminated door sills, and a sound system. Other notable features include a 360-degree camera and parking assist, providing enhanced convenience and safety.
