Mahindra XUV3XO: Teaser Reveals Remote Climate Control Features

Indian car manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra is set to launch its upcoming compact SUV, the Mahindra XUV3XO, on April 29th. Prior to this, the company has released a new teaser for the car. It showcases connected car technology and climate control features.

With connected car technology, users will be able to control the AC from their smartphones. This will allow customers to cool down the cabin before they enter the car. The teaser also demonstrates climate control settings on the infotainment screen. This car is a facelift of the Mahindra XUV300, which will now be rebranded as the XUV3XO.

This car has been seen many times during testing recently. The XUV3XO could start from 9 lakh rupees (ex-showroom). In its segment, it will compete with the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Maruti Suzuki Swift, and Toyota Urban Cruiser.

The current edition of this model will receive significant cosmetic and feature upgrades. The teaser reveals glimpses of the new connected taillights and bumper. Mahindra has made changes to its tailgate to incorporate a new lighting setup. Apart from the twin-peak logo of Mahindra, it now also features a new ‘XUV 3XO’ badging.

The overall look of the car is completely new. It features a chrome-finished triangular grille with a new headlight cluster nearby. Besides the Fang-shaped LED DRLs, projector headlights, fog lamps, electric sunroof, and newly designed layered spoke alloy wheels will be provided in the XUV 3XO.

The complete interior look of the Mahindra XUV300 facelift has not been revealed yet, but the teaser showcases its new seat upholstery and the glimpse of the new touchscreen unit. Similar to the XUV400, the XUV 3XO will feature a 10.25-inch dual digital display (one for instrumentation and the other for infotainment), wireless phone charging, and ventilated front seats.

It is expected that the company may also offer segment-first panoramic sunroof feature. For safety, it may come with 6 airbags, electronic parking brake, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) including a 360-degree camera for added security.

The Mahindra XUV 3XO is expected to offer four engine options similar to the current model, including petrol and diesel engine choices. These may include a 1.5-liter diesel engine, a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine, and a 1.2-liter direct injection turbo petrol (TGDI) engine. Additionally, the car may also feature a 1.2-liter turbo petrol TGDI engine, which will come with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
