Kia Syros Bookings Open January 3: Compact SUV Deliveries Start February, Features Inside
Kia Motors will open bookings for its latest SUV, the Kia Syros, from January 3, starting at midnight. Customers can book it online or by visiting Kia dealerships. This sub-4-meter compact SUV is set to launch in February 2025, with prices to be revealed on February 3, followed by deliveries within the same month. Unlike the current models, the Syros features a completely new design. It will be Kia’s 7th model in the Indian market, joining the likes of Sonet, Seltos, Carens, Carnival, EV6, and EV9.
Engine, Features, and Specifications of Kia Syros
The Kia Syros SUV comes equipped with a 1-liter turbo petrol Smartstream engine paired with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT transmission. The diesel variant will feature a 1.5-liter diesel engine, similar to the ones powering the Sonet, Seltos, and Kia Carens. The diesel version of the Syros generates a maximum power of 116 bhp and a peak torque of 250 Nm.
Named after a Greek island, the new SUV is designed to offer spacious interiors, including reclining rear seats. Key features include LED lights, LED DRLs, panoramic sunroof, LED tail lights, ambient lighting, digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch infotainment system, terrain and driving modes, ventilated seats, wireless charger, and Harman Kardon audio system.
For safety, the SUV is equipped with Level-2 ADAS, six standard airbags, ABS, EBD, Isofix child anchorage, and more. Positioned between the Seltos and Sonet, the Syros fills a gap in Kia’s portfolio. Reports suggest that the base turbo trim could start at an ex-showroom price of ₹9.50 lakh, with the top variant going up to ₹15 lakh.
