Honda Activa Electric Scooter Launching Soon | Full Digital Touchscreen, 104km Range
Honda Activa Electric Scooter Set for November 27 Launch
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is gearing up to launch its first electric two-wheeler, likely the E-Activa, on November 27. The company recently released a teaser showcasing two different digital instrument clusters, hinting at two variants of the electric scooter.
According to Honda, the E-Activa will deliver performance comparable to the Activa 110, with a range of up to 104 km per charge. Additionally, it is expected to feature a swappable battery option. Previously unveiled as a concept at the EICMA auto show in Milan, this e-scooter will rival popular models such as the TVS iQube, Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak, and the Ola S1 series.
Key Features: Turn-by-Turn Navigation and Music Control
The teaser reveals that the E-Activa’s base variant will feature a 5-inch TFT display, while the top variant will include a 7-inch multi-color touchscreen. Key functionalities include:
- Battery charge status, range, speed, ride mode, and Bluetooth connectivity.
- Turn-by-turn navigation and music control on the top variant.
- Essential information like odometer and trip data on the base variant.
The electric scooter will also come equipped with a swingarm-mounted motor, LED headlamp setup, and USB-C charging port.
Design: Classic Look with Modern Touches
Inspired by Honda’s traditional scooters, the E-Activa features a simple design with the headlamp integrated into the front panel rather than the handlebar. Available in three color options—Pearl Jubilee White, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic, and Premium Silver Metallic—it exudes a clean and sleek aesthetic.
For suspension, the e-scooter includes telescopic forks in the front and 12-inch alloy wheels. It also features a 190mm front disc brake and 110mm rear drum brake.
Performance: 104 km Range with Swappable Batteries
The E-Activa is expected to house a 6kW swingarm-mounted motor with three riding modes—Standard, Sport, and Econ—alongside a reverse mode. Powered by two 1.3kWh swappable batteries, the scooter will offer a range of 104 km on a full charge and a top speed of 80 km/h.
Charging options include:
- 0 to 75% charge in 3 hours with a standard charger.
- Full charge in 6 hours.
The Honda E-Activa aims to set a new benchmark in India’s electric scooter market by combining performance, advanced features, and practicality.
