Make Two Wheelers in Three Minutes: Hero Introduces Multi-Purpose Three Wheeler, Achieving 60 km/hr Top Speed
Hero MotoCorp has introduced an electric vehicle capable of operating as both a three-wheeler and a two-wheeler. Simply put, the three-wheeler can transform into a two-wheeler scooter. A video showcasing this innovation has also been released. Named “SURGE,” Hero unveiled the concept model of the Surge S32 (Surge) three-wheeler at Hero World 2024 in Jaipur. It will function as both a three-wheeler and an electric scooter. This scooter can be connected and detached from the three-wheeler within a short time.
Scooter Concealed Within the Three-Wheeler
The SURGE S32 series comprises a scooter concealed within the cargo space of the three-wheeler. Initially, it operates as a three-wheeler, accommodating two people on the front seat. However, when the scooter detaches, it seats two passengers on the scooter seat. According to the company, it takes 3 minutes to convert from a three-wheeler to a two-wheeler. The company will launch four variants of this series: S32 PV, S32 LD, S32 HD, and S32 FB. S32 LD was showcased at Hero World 2024.
Attaining Top Speeds of 60 Kilometers Per Hour
The SURGE S32 offers different specifications for both the three-wheeler and the two-wheeler. When configured as a three-wheeler, the S32 LD receives 10 kW of power and is equipped with an 11 kWh battery, offering a maximum speed of 45 kilometers per hour. In contrast, for the two-wheeler configuration, it receives 3 kW of power and is paired with a 3.5 kWh battery, providing a maximum speed of 60 kilometers per hour.
