Despite Yogi’s Appeal, Devotees Out of Control: Vandalize Police Vehicle, VIDEO Goes Viral
In the Madhuban Bapudham area on the Delhi-Meerut road, devotees accused of causing an accident attacked police vehicles equipped with logos and flashing lights. The enraged devotees severely beat the driver and overturned the car on the road. Upon receiving information, officials arrived at the scene, calmed the devotees, and restored traffic flow.
The police stated that the vehicle damaged was a private car, and the owner has reported the incident to the vigilance department of the electricity board. Due to the increased number of devotees, the police have turned the Delhi-Meerut road into a one-way street.
Reserved Lane Incident: Devotees Assault Driver and Damage Vehicle
The lane heading from Meerut to Delhi has been reserved for devotees. According to reports, around 9:15 AM on Monday, a Bolero car with police logos, a scooter, and flashing lights entered the lane designated for devotees and collided with some of them.
Enraged by the incident, the devotees pulled the driver out of the car, severely beat him, and then attacked the vehicle with sticks and clubs.
Chief Minister Appeals for Discipline Amidst Kawad Yatra Incidents
It is noteworthy that during the Kawad Yatra, there have been reports of anger leading to vandalism and physical altercations at some locations. In response to these incidents, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made an appeal to the devotees today. He emphasized that along with devotion to Lord Shiva, self-discipline is also essential.
The Chief Minister stated that both the state and central governments have made adequate arrangements for a smooth and safe Kawad Yatra, ensuring that no one faces any problems. Despite these measures, incidents of vandalism by devotees occurred today.
