This temple houses the world’s largest mercury Shiva lingam. The temple was established in 2004 by Batukgiri Maharaj of Atal Ashram. Today, this lingam has become a center of faith for the people. Thousands of devotees visit daily during the Shravan month.

Out of the eight types of metals, mercury is considered the best. Shiva devotee Ravana also mentioned the significance of mercury. Due to the beginning of the Shravan month and it being the first Monday, Shiva devotees arrived early in the morning to witness the grand and vast mercury Shiva lingam.

Devotees Come from Abroad: Trustee

Ashram trustee Batukgiri Maharaj stated that the temple was established in 2004, housing a 2,351-kilogram mercury Shiva lingam. Because the lingam is made of mercury, the temple is named Pardeshwar Mahadev Temple. The Shiva lingam was crafted from 1,751 kilograms of mercury, and the base area also uses mercury, making the lingam weigh 2,351 kilograms. Devotees from across the country and abroad come here to seek blessings.
