Woman Saved from Suicide by Hair as She Leaps off Atal Bridge in Mumbai
In recent days, several cases of suicide or attempted suicide have surfaced on the Atal Bridge, connecting Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Yet another such incident has come to light.
Often, life’s problems become so overwhelming for people that they take extreme steps like suicide. Recently, a video went viral on social media where a woman, frustrated for some reason, attempted to commit suicide by jumping off the Atal Bridge in Mumbai. However, the Mumbai Traffic Police, acting as saviors, managed to rescue the woman from the jaws of death.
This incident occurred on Friday at 7 PM. The CCTV footage of the event has surfaced. In the video, a woman can be seen getting out of a car and crossing the railing of the Atal Bridge. She then jumps into the sea. At that moment, a vigilant person standing nearby grabs the woman’s hair. Meanwhile, a police vehicle arrives at the scene. The police officers climb the railing and pull the woman back up.
The police revealed that the woman has been identified as Rima Patel, 56 years old, and a resident of Mulund. The reason behind her suicide attempt is still unknown.
