Madison Police Chief Provides Update on the Incident
Madison Police Chief Sean Barnes addressed reporters, stating that the initial death toll was reported as five but later confirmed as three. He did not provide further details about the victims but mentioned that others were injured in the shooting at Abundant Life Christian School. The teenage assailant was killed by police gunfire.
Police and Federal Agencies Respond to the Scene
Chief Barnes stated that police had blocked roads around the school on Monday afternoon. Agents from the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) arrived at the scene to assist local law enforcement in their investigation.

“We are praying for the children, teachers, and community of Abundant Life Christian School as we await further updates. We are also deeply grateful to the first responders who acted quickly,” said the Governor of Wisconsin. Abundant Life Christian School, according to its website, is a non-denominational institution with approximately 390 students ranging from kindergarten to high school.
