Yogi’s Vision is Like a Hawk’s”: Vice President Jokingly Says – “He Has Done More Homework on Me Than Even My Father-in-Law
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during his visit to Gorakhpur, saying, “Although Yogi’s vision is sharp, in my case, it has been like that of a hawk. He has done more homework on me than even my father-in-law did.”
On Saturday, the Vice President inaugurated a military school built at a cost of ₹176 crore, with CM Yogi accompanying him during the event.
CM Yogi and Vice President Dhankhar Showcase Shooting Skills at School’s Range
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar both took aim with pistols at the shooting range of the newly inaugurated military school, firing several rounds. CM Yogi also inspected machine guns and high-tech weapons displayed at the school. Yogi noted that India’s first military school was established in Lucknow in 1960.
Following that, five more military schools were set up in 1961, one of which was in Chittorgarh, where Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar studied. Yogi added, “I observed that the Vice President examined every facility of the school closely.”
When the Vice President went to inaugurate the main building of the school, it seemed as if he was guiding the students like a senior. This moment was very emotional for him. Commenting on Yogi’s statement, Dhankhar humorously remarked, “In my case, Yogi’s vision has been like that of a hawk.”
Vice President’s Three Key Points
Uttar Pradesh Was in Fear Before 2017
The Vice President remarked, “Before 2017, the country’s largest state, Uttar Pradesh, was gripped by fear. Governance was weak, and common people were troubled. There was no rule of law. You have transformed its identity and achieved a remarkable reputation. What was India’s condition back then? I was a minister, and I witnessed it firsthand. The gold of our country, once called the ‘Golden Bird,’ had to be mortgaged in two Swiss banks.”
I Became Very Emotional
“When the Chief Minister of the country’s largest state came to my residence and personally invited me to this event, I became emotional. Yogi extended the invitation and imparted the knowledge that education is the medium through which society transforms, equality is established, and inequalities are challenged. By giving me this opportunity, Yogi has added a chapter to my life that I will never forget.”
India’s Identity in the World is Unique Today
“What is needed today are three things: 1. Intellectual strength, 2. Commitment to original thinking, and 3. Promotion of national sentiment… All three are present in Prime Minister Modi. For the past two decades, he has been leading the nation on a path that has amazed the world. Today, India’s identity is unique on the global stage, and since 2017, Uttar Pradesh has been a part of this transformation.”
Chief Minister’s Two Key Points
Vice President Closely Inspected the School’s Facilities
“I observed the Vice President meticulously inspecting every facility of the school. During this time, he seemed to reconnect with his student life, ensuring that the new generation receives quality education. Efforts have been initiated in this regard, and under this initiative, the Sainik School has been established.”
1.34 Lakh Schools Transformed
“We have more than 1.56 lakh primary education schools. Before 2017, these schools lacked proper facilities. Through our government’s ‘Operation Kayakalp,’ we have improved the amenities in schools. So far, 1.34 lakh schools have been upgraded under this initiative.”
