The 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit is scheduled to be held in Gandhinagar from January 10 to 12, 2024. The theme for this year’s summit is “Gate to the Future.” A total of 34 participating countries and 16 partner organizations are actively participating in the conference, engaging people from around the world in various activities for five days. Special traffic arrangements have been made, including diversions on roads leading to the airport and alternative arrangements for emergencies. The Ahmedabad Traffic Department has issued specific advisories, and traffic management will be in effect for the next five days.
Traffic Advisory for Travel from Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar
Starting today, due to VVIP movements for five days from Indira Bridge to Airport Circle and towards Dafnala, traffic is expected to move slowly. People traveling from Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar are advised to use the smaller circles and the bypass circle for the next five days. A special advisory from the Ahmedabad Traffic Department suggests using Bhadreshwar Cut and Sardarnagar Road to enter the airport, especially during emergencies. Emergency situations may allow travelers to exit the airport from Prestige Hotel by taking Ring Road and Chiloda Circle.
Police and Traffic Helpline Assistance in Difficulties
To avoid traveling from Dafnala Junction to Gandhinagar for eastern Ahmedabad travelers, it is recommended to use the Memco, Naroda, and Nobel Junctions. Travelers coming from western Ahmedabad to the airport are advised to reach the airport using Ring Road and Bhadreshwar Junction via Nobel Nagar Tee and Bhadreshwar Junction. In case of emergencies, road closure for security purposes can be discussed with the present police or by calling the traffic helpline at 1095.
