Massive Fire Breaks Out in Luxurious Flat Opposite Harsh Sanghavi’s Residence in Vesu, Surat
A major fire broke out early Friday morning on the 8th floor of the luxurious Happy Excelencia residential complex in Vesu, Surat. The blaze rapidly spread upward, affecting floors up to the 11th and creating panic among residents.

Suspected Cause: Short Circuit from Steam Bath Switch
Preliminary reports suggest that the fire may have been triggered by a short circuit, possibly caused by a steam bath switch that was accidentally left on. The flames quickly spread throughout the flat and to adjacent areas.
Local Resident Alerts Authorities
A local resident, Babu Lakhan, noticed a burning smell around 7:15 AM during his morning walk. Upon investigating, he discovered the fire and promptly alerted the building staff and authorities, which helped initiate a quick response.

Immediate Action by Fire Department
Five fire stations were alerted, and 10 fire engines were dispatched to the site. Firefighters worked tirelessly to control the blaze and are currently involved in cooling operations to prevent any flare-ups. One firefighter sustained minor burns while tackling the fire.
Thanks to swift evacuation efforts, 18 residents were safely rescued from the building. The quick action of the fire brigade and emergency personnel helped avoid any fatalities or major injuries.
Minister Harsh Sanghavi Rushes to the Spot
Gujarat’s Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghavi, who lives in the building opposite Happy Excelencia, rushed to the spot as soon as he received the news. He monitored the entire rescue and firefighting operation personally.
Speaking to the media, Sanghavi said, “As soon as I was informed early this morning, the fire department took immediate action. I’m monitoring the entire incident closely. With the help of advanced machinery and cranes, the fire was brought under control. The firefighters worked in extremely difficult conditions. I thank them on behalf of all residents.”
Extent of Damage
Significant damage has been reported on the 8th and 9th floors of the building, with moderate damage on the 11th floor. Residents have praised the efficiency and bravery of the fire department, whose quick response helped avert a larger disaster.
