Vadodara Zilla Panchayat Forms Committees: Noripeet Theory and Minus Booth Considered in Appointments
A meeting was convened today following the election of the Chief Vice President in the Vadodara District Panchayat. Preceding the meeting, the district president of the Bharatiya Janata Party unveiled the list of members nominated to form eight distinct Zilla Panchayat committees. It is noteworthy that all these appointees have been selected from the party’s regional base in Mowdi. The selection process took into careful consideration the principles of the “No Repeat Theory” and the imperative to address concerns related to “Minus Booths,” thereby ensuring that individuals who have not previously held committee positions are prioritized, and efforts are made to cater to underserved constituencies.
Appointment of Chairman for Administrative Functions:
Following the re-election of the President and Vice-President for a second term of two and a half years in the Vadodara District Panchayat, a significant development has transpired with the announcement of the Chairman for the Executive Committee. Additionally, during today’s general meeting, the process of forming committees responsible for overseeing the administrative functions across various branches of the Zilla Panchayat has been finalized.
This marks a crucial step in ensuring the effective functioning of the Vadodara District Panchayat and underscores the commitment to transparent governance and efficient administration. The appointment of the Chairman and the subsequent formation of committees are indicative of a proactive approach to addressing the diverse needs and responsibilities that fall under the purview of the Zilla Panchayat.
Parallel to the forthcoming two-and-a-half-year term of the President and Vice-President in the Zilla Panchayat, the term for each committee has also been set at two and a half years. Consequently, the task of constituting various committees has been diligently executed during the meeting convened today. These committees encompass a wide array of domains, including Executive, Construction, Health, Education, Irrigation, Appeal, Social Justice, and Women-Child Development.
In the upcoming meeting, all committee chairpersons will assume their respective roles, initiating their tenure dedicated to addressing specific concerns and advancing progress within their designated spheres of responsibility. This synchronized approach to committee formation ensures the systematic functioning and targeted accomplishments of the Vadodara District Panchayat in the years to come.
Announcement of Committee Chairpersons:
During the General Assembly of the Zilla Panchayat, the appointment of various committee chairpersons has been formally declared. These individuals will serve as the heads of their respective committees for the upcoming two and a half years. The newly appointed chairpersons and their respective committees are as follows:
- Executive Committee Chairman: Nilesh Purani (Waghodia)
- Health Committee Chairman: Narendra Rohit (Dasarath)
- Education Committee Chairman: Jignesh Vasava (Karjan)
- Irrigation Committee Chairman: Hanshaben Gohil (Angarh)
- Construction Committee Chairman: Diptiben Tel (Kayavarohan)
- Women Child Development Chairman: Revaben Vasava (Choranda)
- Social Justice Committee Chairman: Mathur Rathodia (Vadodara)
- Appeal Committee Chairman: Gayatriba Mahida (Savli)
District Panchayat President Gayatriba Mahida shared that today’s meeting resulted in the establishment of eight committees, which include the Executive Committee, Construction Committee, Irrigation Committee, Social Justice Committee, Education Committee, Public Health Committee, and more. The subsequent meeting, to be held within the next 10 days, will focus on the appointment of chairpersons for these remaining committees. This process underscores the commitment to a structured and comprehensive approach to governance and administration within the Vadodara District Panchayat.
The announcement of committee chairpersons was made with a careful consideration of both the “No Repeat Theory” and addressing concerns related to “Minus Booths.” However, a general controversy emerged when no committee chairman was identified for the Padra seat.
In response to this matter, District BJP President Satish Patel clarified that the party had provided the names, and the selection process prioritized adhering to both the “No Repeat Theory” and addressing “Minus Booth” concerns. While it may have been the case that no member fully met these criteria, the decision was ultimately made based on directives from higher party authorities.
At present, it appears that the issue has been resolved, and the committee chairpersons have been appointed accordingly. This underscores the party’s commitment to maintaining internal cohesion and adhering to its own protocols and directives in the decision-making process.
