Major Vadodara Incident: Wall Collapse During Class Sends Four Students 10 Feet Down; One Injured with Stitches, School’s Miraculous Escape

At Shree Narayan Vidyalay, located near Gurukul Crossroads on Waghodia Road in Vadodara, a classroom wall suddenly collapsed. As a result, four students, along with their benches, fell 10 feet to the ground floor. One student sustained stitches on their head, while the others were given first aid and later taken home by their parents. 

The fire department and police arrived promptly at the scene and initiated further investigation. Fortunately, there were no casualties. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced. The Kapurai police have filed a report based on the complaint from the injured student’s father and are proceeding with further action.

Miraculous Escape Due to Shed as Wall Collapses

The collapsed wall, estimated to be about 20 feet high, fell while the children were seated on the first floor, directly above the conference hall, which was covered by a shed. 

Thanks to the shed, the children were miraculously saved from serious injury despite falling from a height of 10 feet. Only one student sustained an injury, demonstrating how the shed helped in preventing further harm.

School with Over 1200 Students Faces Crisis After Wall Collapse

The incident at the school, where over 1,200 students are currently enrolled, has been captured in alarming CCTV footage. Following the event, the Kapurai police have initiated further investigation based on a complaint from a student’s parent. Both the fire and police departments promptly arrived at the scene to assess the situation. 

It has been revealed that the school had obtained a BU (Building Use) permission in advance, and a structural stability certificate was issued just a month ago. The school has declared a one-day holiday in response to the incident, raising concerns about where the students will continue their education.

Incident Occurred Around 12:30 PM: Principal

Principal Rupalben Shah of the Gujarati Medium School stated that the students involved were in the seventh grade and the incident happened around 12:30 PM. She mentioned that they were in their office at the time and reached the scene as soon as they heard the noise. Some students’ bicycles were damaged in the incident. 

The school had no prior indication that such an event would occur. No official notice has been issued yet, and a decision will be made once the trustee arrives.

Casualties Avoided Due to Recess Time

The incident occurred during recess, which fortunately helped in saving many children from serious harm. In the sudden collapse, five to seven bicycles were buried under the debris. Thankfully, there were no major casualties. Upon learning of the incident, both the police and fire department teams rushed to the scene and began their investigation.
