Tragic Road Accident in Vadodara: Speeding Car Mows Down Four, Accused Chants ‘Om Namah Shivaya’

Vadodara witnessed a horrifying road accident in the Karelibaug area near Amrapali Complex, where a speeding car driven by a young man ran over multiple people. According to reports, four individuals were injured in the accident, with one confirmed fatality. The accused, identified as Rakshit Chaurasia, was apprehended by the police, while his friend, Meet Chauhan, who was accompanying him, has also been arrested.

Victim Details

Among the victims, Hemaliben, who had stepped out for Holi shopping, tragically lost her life. Other injured individuals include Jaini, Nishaben, an unidentified young girl, and a 40-year-old man, all of whom are in critical condition and undergoing treatment. The death toll may rise as some of the injured are in serious condition.

Was the Accused Drunk?

Eyewitnesses claim that Rakshit Chaurasia was driving recklessly at an extremely high speed. Authorities have collected his samples for testing to determine whether he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Bizarre Behavior After the Accident

A shocking video of the incident has surfaced, showing the immediate aftermath. While his friend managed to flee the scene, Rakshit stepped out of the car unafraid and started chanting Om Namah Shivaya. Witnesses reported hearing him shout phrases like “Nikita, Mary… Uncle… Om Namah Shivaya!” soon after the accident.

Crowd Takes Justice into Their Hands

As the police arrived at the scene, enraged bystanders confronted Rakshit and assaulted him before handing him over to the authorities. Meanwhile, his friend remains on the run.
