On December 8, in the Pandit Din Dayal School of Vadodara’s New Yard area, a 10-year-old girl studying in Class 3 was hit by a falling stone during a class. The incident occurred suddenly, causing damage to the girl’s right eye. The staff immediately rushed her to the Nagarwada General Hospital in New Yard, as the situation was critical. Despite all efforts, the girl lost vision in her right eye. The incident was reported to the committee president, Dr. Mitesh Pandya, the vice president, Dr. Hemang Joshi, the school principal, and other committee members.

To provide solace to the victim and alleviate financial concerns for the family, the committee assured them that all expenses for the girl’s eye surgery would be covered by the committee.
Infection Cleared from the Damaged Eye
Dr. Hemang Joshi, the vice president of the committee, mentioned that today the committee members, along with government officials, met with the victim and her family. To provide emotional support and ease financial burdens for the family, the committee decided to cover all expenses related to the eye surgery. Dr. Amarchit Kadam, a specialist in eye care, stated that the infection in the damaged eye has been successfully cleared, and in the next month, an artificial eye (eye ball) will be placed in the affected eye. This procedure will restore a similar appearance to the damaged eye.

Social worker Nizam Pathan informed that the Vadodara Municipal Corporation’s New Yard area’s primary education committee has taken all necessary steps to cover the expenses related to the surgery, ensuring that the family does not bear any financial burden.
