Tragic Night in Vadodara: Friends Hit by Speeding Car, Youth Fatally Injured, Shocking Scene Unfolds
The recent accident near Khodiyarnagar Char Road in Vadodara city has surfaced with distressing details. Two young individuals were involved in the incident, resulting in injuries, tragically leading to the demise of one of the youths after admission to the hospital. Concurrently, the other youth is presently receiving medical treatment.
The incident has stirred concern within the community, shedding light on the critical importance of road safety measures. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event are ongoing as authorities strive to determine the sequence of events that led to this distressing outcome.
The Two Friends Were Going Out for Tea
On the night of November 18, two friends, namely Prakash Praveenbhai Marwadi (25 years old) from Savad Quarters, Vadodara, and Gautambhai Bhikhabhai Tadvi (20 years old) from Laxminagar Society, Ajwa Road, Vadodara, embarked on an outing for tea. The two friends, accompanied by four others, initially gathered at Prakash’s residence.
Around 1 o’clock in the night, Gautam and Prakash set out on a motorcycle to visit Pancham Elite for tea, situated near Muralidhar Pan Parlour. However, upon reaching the location, they found the tea shop closed. Consequently, the friends decided to return and reached the S.R. petrol pump on their motorcycle.
Amidst a state of confusion, both friends, Gautambhai Bhikhabhai Tadvi and Prakash Praveenbhai Marwadi, made their way towards Lalabhai’s tea lorry. However, the unfolding tragedy took a devastating turn around 1:20 am near Khodiyarnagar four roads. At this juncture, a Creta car, operated at a high velocity, swiftly traversed the area. The unfortunate collision resulted in Gautam and Praveen being struck, causing both individuals to be forcefully thrown onto the road.
During the critical moments following the accident, a passing motorist happened upon the scene. Sensing the gravity of the situation, the motorist swiftly recorded a video of the incident using a mobile phone. In the footage, an individual witnessing the unfolding tragedy urgently implored, “Hey man… call 108 immediately… hey, this is ours…” The urgency and concern in the bystander’s plea underscore the immediate need for emergency assistance.
The Youth Died in the Hospital
Regrettably, despite medical intervention, the young Prakash Marwadi succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital. Simultaneously, Gautam endured injuries to his face and left leg, whereas Prakash sustained severe injuries to his head, necessitating his admission to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
In response to this tragic incident, the Harani police have initiated legal proceedings by registering a case. They are actively pursuing leads in the investigation, leveraging the aid of CCTV footage to identify and locate the driver involved in this unfortunate incident. The authorities’ concerted efforts underscore the commitment to seeking justice and holding accountable those responsible for the untimely demise of Prakash Marwadi.
