Goons Create Havoc at Vadodara Night Market: Rob ₹700, Vandalize Ice Cream Parlour

At Vadodara’s VUDA Circle Night Market, four individuals ate pani puri and refused to pay the bill. They then looted ₹700 from the pani puri stall. When a bystander intervened, the four men attacked him with weapons like knives and pipes, also vandalizing an ice cream shop in the process. Harni police registered a case and arrested the accused within hours.

A Youth Confronts the Men Over Payment

At the VUDA Circle Night Market in Vadodara, four individuals, including a minor, arrived at a pani puri stall. After eating, a dispute arose over payment between the stall owner and the men. A youth intervened and insisted they pay for their food. The four men left the spot at that time.

Accused Return at Night Armed with Weapons

Around 11 PM, the accused returned to the night market armed with weapons like knives. The youth tried to escape by hiding in an ice cream parlor, but the accused followed him there and vandalized the shop in search of him. After causing damage, they fled. Following the incident, DCP Abhishek Gupta visited the site, organized teams, and began searching for the accused. All four were later apprehended.

Police Arrest All Four Accused

DCP Abhishek Gupta confirmed that after receiving information about the incident, police teams promptly reached the spot. Using technical surveillance and human intelligence, the police arrested all four accused. A complaint was filed, and further investigation is underway. Among the accused, Moin and Rehan reside in the Bhandwada area of Kumbharwada, while the other two, including Uvesh Sheikh and a minor, live on Dabhoi Road.

Criminal Background of One Accused

Police revealed that the four accused had initially visited the night market to eat pani puri. The dispute began over payment, leading to the confrontation. When the youth ran into a Havmor store to escape, the accused damaged the shop while attempting to attack him. A case of robbery has been filed against them. Rehan, one of the accused, has a prior criminal record with cases registered at Karelibaug and Gorwa police stations.
