Man Caught with 9 Kg of Marijuana at Vadodara Bus Depot; Ahmedabad Supplier Wanted
Vadodara police arrested a man with 9 kg of marijuana at the city’s ST bus depot yesterday evening. Authorities have launched an investigation into the supplier and a middleman involved in the operation.
During routine checks at various locations, a police team inspected a suspect’s bag at the Vadodara bus depot and discovered plant-based marijuana. Senior crime officers and forensic experts were called to the scene. The seized marijuana weighed over 9 kg and was valued at approximately ₹92,000. Police also confiscated ₹500 in cash and a mobile phone from the suspect.
Upon interrogation, the accused was identified as Lalji Ramchandra Manji, a resident of Katargam, Surat, originally from Bihar. Investigations revealed that the consignment was sent by Sonu Singh Yunus Singh from Ahmedabad, with a biker also aiding in the operation. Both individuals have been declared wanted by the police.
