Acid Attack in Upleta: Mother Feeds 9-Month-Old Daughter Acid, Tragic Outcome, Life and Death Struggle of Innocent
In a startling incident unfolding in Bhimora village of Rajkot district, a mother allegedly attempted to feed acid to her 9-month-old daughter. Tragically, the mother lost her life in this event, while the innocent child battles between life and death at the hospital.
Police Registers Attempted Murder Charge Against Deceased Woman’s Husband
In this incident, the husband has been accused of attempting to murder his deceased wife. The police have registered a complaint against the husband for attempting to murder the deceased woman. Further investigations are underway regarding the alleged attempt on the life of the deceased woman by her husband. The exact motives behind the incident remain unclear at this stage.
Jagabhai Gandabhai Makvana lodged a complaint stating, “I work as a laborer in Bhimora village. I have only one daughter who is 9 months old. My daughter Manisha was married to Dhanabhai Narayanbhai Japda, residing in Magharwada village, exactly two years ago today, as per our community’s customs and traditions.”
Alleged Acid Attack: Family Members Hospitalized
The complainant narrated that his mother Muriben and younger brother Jivabhai used to work together in farming, maintaining their family’s fields. Around 3 o’clock in the afternoon, my wife Manisha received a call, claiming that she had consumed acid and asked me to come home. Consequently, the three of us took our bikes and rushed home, only to find my wife lying unconscious on the floor of our room, vomiting. Even my daughter, Dharmi, was vomiting. They both had foam on their mouths. When I inquired about the situation, my wife couldn’t speak properly. Concerned, I immediately called my uncle, Jagabhai Jadav, to seek advice. He suggested rushing them to the nearby Khanagi Hospital.
Alleged Tragic Incidents: Wife’s Death and Daughter’s Critical Condition
It was reported that amidst turmoil, my wife’s condition deteriorated drastically, leading to her untimely demise. Concurrently, my daughter Dharmi’s health deteriorated significantly. Consequently, my elder brother, Rambhai Ghelabhai Makvana, took her to the Rajkot government hospital for immediate medical attention.
Presently, my daughter is under medical care, while my wife, Manisha, succumbed to what seems to be a premeditated act. During the time when my wife was alone at home due to some reasons, she consumed acid and, in an alleged attempt, also forced my daughter Dharmi to ingest it. If my daughter’s life is lost due to this ordeal, I intend to file a complaint against my wife.
Police Conducts Post-Mortem of Woman’s Body
Currently, the Upleta police have initiated the necessary procedures to conduct a post-mortem examination of the woman’s deceased body. Given the sensitive nature of the incident and the lack of family members’ awareness of the exact cause of the tragedy, the police are intensifying their investigation to uncover further details.
