Truck Overturns on Sleeping Family in UP: 8 Dead, Only One Girl Survives in Critical Condition; Rescue Operation Involves JCB
In Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, a tragic accident occurred when a truck loaded with sand overturned onto a hut. Eight members of the same family, who were sleeping outside their home, were killed instantly. The sole survivor of the family is a young girl.
Among the deceased were a husband and wife, their four children, and a son-in-law. Police arrived at the scene promptly after receiving the information and sent the bodies for post-mortem examination. The truck driver and helper have been taken into custody. The accident happened late at night, around 1:30 AM.
Victims Identified in Hardoi Tragedy
The victims of the tragic accident in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, have been identified as Awadhesh (45), his wife Sudha (42), their three children Sunaina (11), Lalla (5), and Buddha (4), as well as their son-in-law Karan (25), Karan’s wife (22), and their daughter Komal (5).
Rescue Operation in Hardoi: JCB Used to Remove Overturned Truck
In Mallawan town, along Unnao Road, several families live in huts by the roadside. A tragic accident occurred when a truck loaded with sand overturned onto one of these huts. A witness reported that they were asleep when they suddenly heard screams. Rushing to Avadhesh’s home, they found the entire family trapped under the truck, with one girl injured but alive.
The police were notified and promptly arrived at the scene, calling for a JCB machine to help remove the truck. The JCB was used to upright the truck and clear away the sand to rescue the victims.
Injured Girl Hospitalized in Critical Condition
Police officials have reported that the truck involved in the accident has been seized, and the driver is in custody for questioning. The injured girl, Bittu, has been admitted to a health center, where her condition remains critical.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination, and an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
