Tragic Suicide in Naroda: Policeman’s Wife and Son Jump to Death, Brother Alleges Domestic Abuse and Harassment

A heartbreaking incident occurred today (December 7) in the Naroda area of Ahmedabad, where a mother jumped from the third floor with her seven-year-old son, resulting in their tragic deaths.

Upon learning of the incident, local police arrived at the scene to investigate. Reports suggest that the deceased woman’s husband is currently serving in the police force.

The tragedy has left the family in mourning, while residents of the society are also in shock over the devastating event.

“My Sister Faced Frequent Abuse,” Claims Deceased Woman’s Brother

In the tragic case, the deceased Virajben’s elder brother, Vikesh Solanki, shared heartbreaking details. Vikesh, who serves in the Army, revealed, “My sister had been married for ten years. During this time, she endured frequent physical abuse. She was subjected to harassment by her husband and in-laws. They constantly doubted her and would sometimes confine her to a room.”

These revelations shed light on the struggles Virajben faced in her married life, adding a deeper layer of sorrow to the already devastating incident.

Adding further details, Vikesh Solanki stated, “On the last Raksha Bandhan, when my sister expressed her desire to visit and tie a rakhi, she was assaulted. For a long time, she was not allowed to meet or visit us. Just last night, my sister spoke to my wife, and at that time, she did not seem worried.

However, due to constant physical, mental, and familial harassment, she took this extreme step. We will fight relentlessly to hold those responsible for my sister’s death accountable and ensure justice is served.”

Mother and Son Die After Jumping from Third Floor

According to police sources, a tragic incident occurred near Hanspura in the Naroda area, where a woman jumped from the third floor of an apartment with her young son this morning. The deceased child, seven-year-old Riddham, was the son of Virajben Vaniya, the woman involved in the incident.

The society residents were startled by a loud noise when the mother and child hit the ground. Upon rushing to the scene, they discovered their lifeless bodies surrounded by blood. The horrifying sight left the crowd in shock and anguish, with many crying out in disbelief.

The residents immediately informed emergency services, and an ambulance was called to the scene. Shortly thereafter, the police arrived and initiated a thorough investigation into the matter.

Woman’s Husband Serves in Police Department

According to local police, the deceased woman’s husband, Mitesh Vaniya, is currently serving in the Dog Squad in Himmatnagar. The police have launched an investigation to determine if there were any other reasons behind the suicide.
