Two Fatalities in Horrific Tractor and Car Collision Near Keshiya Village, Jodiya
A horrific accident occurred yesterday evening near Keshiya village, close to Jodiya in Jamnagar district, involving a car and a tractor. The collision resulted in the tragic deaths of two individuals.
One of the victims, a migrant worker who was seated on the wheel of the tractor, was crushed under a water tank, leading to an instant and devastating death at the scene, with his head severed from his body.
This sight created a scene of horror. Additionally, the driver of the car, a resident of Jamdudhai village and a government employee at Keshiya village high school, succumbed to fatal hemorrhage, passing away at the scene as well.
Details of the Accident Near Keshiya Village in Jamnagar District
The accident took place when Rakesh Devaram Khatana, a native of Rajasthan, had completed fiber work on the road and was heading towards Morbi with a water tank fitted on his tractor, bearing the registration number RJ-14 RC 9140. He had a companion, Manish Ramavatar Adivasi (25 years old), also from Rajasthan, who was sitting on the wheel fender of the tractor.
As the tractor approached Keshiya village near Jodiya in the evening, the driver suddenly applied the brakes due to an oncoming truck, losing control of the vehicle. The tractor overturned on the road.
In this tragic incident, Manish Adivasi, who was seated on the wheel fender, was crushed under the water tank fitted to the back of the tractor. He died instantly at the scene, with his head severed from his body due to the pressure of the tank. The scene was gruesome and heart-wrenching.
Second Victim in the Jamnagar District Accident: Rajeshbhai Trikubhai Gambhva
In addition to the tragic incident, Rajeshbhai Trikubhai Gambhva (46), who was driving a car with the registration number GJ-10 CG 2932 from Keshiya village towards Jamdudhai, was also involved in the accident. Rajeshbhai, a government employee working as a peon at Keshiya village high school, was returning home after completing his duty.
During the accident, the overturned tractor collided with the driver’s side of the car, causing Rajeshbhai severe head injuries and hemorrhage. Despite efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and tragically passed away at the scene.
Thus, two lives were lost in this horrific accident. However, the tractor driver survived with only minor injuries.
Investigation and Aftermath of the Fatal Accident in Jamnagar District
Upon learning of the accident, officials from Jodiya and staff members rushed to the scene immediately. They took control of both bodies and began the post-mortem and other formalities. Following the complaint filed by Yogeshbhai Mansukhbhai, the nephew of the deceased government employee Rajeshbhai Gambhva, against the tractor driver, Jodiya police have filed a case against Rakesh Devaram Khatana and seized the tractor.
After the accident, a crowd gathered on the road, leading to temporary traffic congestion. However, the police quickly cleared the way, restoring normal traffic flow. The tragic death of the government employee from Keshiya village has left his two young daughters without a father, creating immense hardship for the family.
