Teacher Collapses While Dancing: Heart Attack at Brother’s Retirement Event Turns Joy to Sorrow

An incident of a heart attack has emerged from the Kishangarh-Renwal tehsil area of Jaipur, Rajasthan. After the elder brother’s retirement, a Bhajan Sandhya program was organized. During the Bhajan Sandhya, a teacher suddenly had a heart attack while dancing and passed away. People at the scene gave him CPR for about 10 minutes, but he could not be saved. The joy turned into mourning after this incident.

Program Organized at the Temple

Manna Ram Jakhar (age 45), residing in Mudan Ki Dhani, Jodhpur, was a teacher at the government higher primary school in Jud village (Jodhpur). His elder brother Mangal Jakhar was a teacher at the Bhenslana village school in the Kishangarh-Renwal tehsil area of Jaipur.

Mangal retired as a teacher from the government higher secondary school in Mundoti. To celebrate this, a Bhajan Sandhya was organized on Friday at the Jalwali Balaji temple in the village. Manna Ram Jakhar had also come from Jodhpur to participate.

Joy Turned into Grief

The Bhajan Sandhya started around 10 PM. Teacher Manna Ram, immersed in the devotional atmosphere, couldn’t control himself and danced to the first four to five bhajans. After a while, he sat down. Around 12 midnight, to the tune of “I will die one day due to Kanuda’s smile…,” Manna Ram started dancing again. After about 2 minutes, he suddenly collapsed and died. This turned joy into sorrow.

CPR Given for 10 Minutes but Life Couldn’t be Saved

Manna Ram and other family members danced to the bhajans and then sat down. The entire family, including his wife, was present there. He had danced for only 2 minutes when he suddenly collapsed.

People gave him CPR for about 10 minutes and provided mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, but there was no movement. After this, he was taken to the sub-district hospital in Renwal, where he was declared dead.
