A video circulating on social media shows a tantrik performing rituals for a patient admitted in the ICU of Ahmedabad Civil Hospital. The incident has sparked widespread attention and raised concerns over hospital security.
Security Lapses at Civil Hospital Exposed
The viral video from Ahmedabad Civil Hospital has raised serious questions about its security measures. Despite being touted as Asia’s largest and most secure hospital, where even visitors face strict entry restrictions, a tantrik was granted access to the ICU. Adding to the controversy, photography and videography are strictly prohibited within the hospital premises.
Yet, the tantrik not only filmed his journey from the hospital gate to the ICU but also created a reel standing beside a ventilated patient in the ICU. This incident has put the hospital’s security protocols under scrutiny.
Tantrik Entered ICU Posing as Patient’s Relative
Regarding the viral video from Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, the Superintendent stated that preliminary investigations reveal the individual entered the hospital posing as a relative of the patient. Visitors are granted entry through hospital-issued passes, which the individual used to reach the patient.
The Superintendent further explained that ICU patients are treated with utmost security and confidentiality, with curtains in place to prevent infection and ensure privacy. However, the individual misused the opportunity to create the video.
The patient shown in the video was already on a ventilator but is recovering and stepping down from ventilator treatment. Claims that the tantrik’s rituals cured the patient are purely superstitious.
The hospital’s primary focus remains patient care, safety, and saving lives, with robust security measures in place. Moving forward, stricter precautions will be implemented to prevent such incidents. A thorough investigation into the matter is currently underway to address the lapse and ensure it is not repeated in any hospital.
