Actress Gayatri from ‘Swadesh’ Safe in Unexpected Italy Incident; Swiss Couple Tragically Dies

Actress Gayatri Joshi, who starred in Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Swades,’ was involved in a car accident in Italy. At the time of the accident, Gayatri was traveling with her husband, Vikas Oberoi.

After the accident, their car collided with a van and other vehicles. In this unfortunate incident, Gayatri and her husband survived, but a Swiss couple traveling in the van lost their lives.

Speaking to TOI, Gayatri’s husband, Vikas, mentioned, “Our car had veered off the road, but we managed to survive. Unfortunately, in this unexpected incident, two more people lost their lives.

Gayatri, a model turned actress, made her debut in the film industry with ‘Swades’ in 2004. Her simplicity and acting skills were well-received by the audience, but ‘Swades’ marked both her first and last film in her career. Prior to this, in the year 2000, she had also won the title of ‘Femina Miss India International.’

In 2005, Gayatri tied the knot with businessman Vikas Oberoi. Nowadays, she occasionally appears in vacation pictures and Bollywood parties with her best friends, Sonali Bendre and Suzanne Khan.
