Many roads are still submerged, and water has not yet receded from houses in the Dumbhal area. Houses are filled with two to three feet of water, with residents reporting that no help has arrived. In Saniya Hemad village, 700 homes have been submerged. People are facing severe difficulties. In the Althan area, a 50-foot-long wall of a tenement collapsed. This incident was captured on CCTV.

Due to heavy rains, low-lying areas in the city were flooded, with roads resembling flowing rivers. An incident of a wall collapse in a tenement in the Althan area has come to light, with CCTV footage also emerging. The wall fell during the rainy weather at night. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Residents gathered at the site of the incident. It is reported that the building was constructed less than a year ago. Upon learning of the incident, the police also arrived at the scene.
Saniya Hemad Village Submerged by Rains
The village of Saniya Hemad has been engulfed by rainwater, submerging around 700 houses. Local resident Pareshbhai stated that the water from the Valak River flows into the creek, flooding the village during heavy rains. Despite the situation, no municipal corporation staff have visited the area. The villagers are in dire straits. The village comprises 700 houses, including Halpati residences. No rescue or safety teams are available. This situation recurs every year. Previously, the village was classified as a rural area.

Water levels inside reached knee-deep.

Local resident Bindhyaben reported that after heavy rains post-5 PM, water suddenly entered homes, rising to waist-deep. Today, water levels are knee-high. Residents are facing severe difficulties, moving belongings around, and clothes are not drying. This situation has persisted for more than 4 to 5 years, with significant trouble starting last year. Previously, water entered homes when dam water was released. No assistance from authorities has arrived.
Society Faces Water Issues for 5 Years
Pathan Iqbal Khan reported living in this society for the past 35 years, with the water issue persisting for the last 5 years. The reasons for work on the creek are unknown, but the society has faced water problems for 5 years. Despite raising concerns, no solution has been found. The commissioner inspected the area before the rains, and this situation is proof of the work done. The society has 496 plots, and homes in streets 5, 6, and 7 are also flooded. Water entered 100 to 150 homes. Before the water entered, residents called the zone to open manholes, but no officers arrived. After the water entered, zonal officers inspected the area but took no action. Despite continuous complaints, no resolution has been found. Residents plan to file a PIL against the municipal commissioner in the High Court for compensation for the damage.
