18-Month-Old Toddler Fatally Crushed by Dumper Driver in Surat Waste Plant Incident
In Surat, a dump truck driver, while recklessly speeding, has caused the tragic demise of a child. The incident occurred beneath the dump truck near the waste plant in the Pandesara area, claiming the life of a two-year-old child. The child was playing outside the house by the road when this unforeseen accident happened. Following the incident, the dump truck driver fled the scene, prompting the police to launch an investigation to apprehend the driver.
Toddler’s Life Cut Short at Two Years Old
Originally from Maharashtra, the Chitodiya family, including two toddlers, currently resides near the Pandesara waste plant in Gujarat. For the past five months, the family has been living by the side of the road, constructing tambu (temporary shelters). They sustain their livelihood by selling Ayurvedic medicines, with the vehicle parked nearby. Akash’s younger brother was only two years old at the time of his untimely demise.
Atmosphere of Grief in the Family
Akash’s two-year-old brother met with an unfortunate incident while the family was engaged in recreational activities near their residence. During the playtime, the child accidentally reached the spot beneath the dump truck’s tire, leading to his tragic death. The family was engulfed in an atmosphere of sorrow following the untimely demise of the toddler.
Dump Truck Driver Escapes After the Accident
Following the accident, the dump truck driver swiftly fled the scene, evading immediate consequences. Local residents chased after him to apprehend him. Currently, the police are conducting an investigation to locate and detain the driver, who left the dump truck abandoned on the bypass road. Authorities have initiated efforts to bring the driver to justice.
