Narcotics Cell Busts Rave Party in Surat, Arrests Spa Girls and Young Men

On the night of October 20, CID Crime’s Narcotics Cell raided a birthday party in Surat, seizing drugs, marijuana, and alcohol. The party, attended by 8 spa girls, 9 women, and five young men, was being held in a rented flat. During the raid, the police confiscated MD drugs, marijuana, and seven bottles of alcohol. The main organizer was celebrating his birthday with his live-in partner, a spa girl, and a couple from Surat also joined the event. All suspects were presented in court, and the remand has been extended till October 24.

Amit Yadav and His Girlfriend Lived Together for Months

Amit Yadav, 40, who lives on the fourth floor of Jalaram Kutir Apartments in Magdalla village, Surat, has been residing with his spa girlfriend in a live-in relationship for several months. Amit is employed, while his girlfriend, originally from East Sikkim, works at a spa to earn her livelihood.

Foreign Liquor and Drugs Brought for the Party

Amit invited several friends, including an engineer, a diamond broker, a data processor, and others, to celebrate his birthday at a rented flat. His girlfriend invited her spa colleagues to the party. During the event, MD drugs, marijuana, and a variety of foreign liquors were served.

Party Busted on the Fourth Floor of Jalaram Kutir

Acting on a tip-off, the CID Crime Narcotics Cell conducted a raid on Amit Yadav’s flat, where MD drugs, marijuana, and alcohol were being used. Eight spa girls, including a local woman, and five young men were arrested during the raid.

Seized Items During the Raid

The police seized various items, including 9.31 grams of mephedrone (MD drugs) worth ₹93,100, 22.83 grams of hybrid marijuana worth ₹68,490, seven bottles of foreign liquor, 13 mobile phones, and other substances, totaling around ₹4.63 lakhs.

Amit Yadav: A Former Navy Employee

Amit Yadav, the organizer of the party, has a mysterious background. During the interrogation, he revealed that he worked on a ship and previously served in the Indian Navy for 15 years. The police are investigating the authenticity of his naval background. Amit also mentioned that he had married his live-in partner, Stella Tamang, who also works at the spa.

Accused Remanded Till October 24

All the accused were presented in court, where their remand was extended until October 24.

Points of Remand

• The source of the 4.63 lakh worth of illegal substances, including mephedrone drugs, hybrid marijuana, foreign-branded whiskey, and cigarettes, needs to be investigated.
• The interrogation will focus on how Amit Yadav, the husband of the spa girl, organized a birthday party with illegal substances.
• Jalaram Kutir Apartments, located in the Karizma locality of Magdalla village, was rented out to foreign women and out-of-state individuals. The investigation will look into how these individuals came into contact with one another.
• Amit Yadav, who lives with several spa girls in flat number 403, threw the birthday party on October 20. He lives with his wife, spa worker Stella Tamang, who works at a nearby spa.
• For the party, Amit invited Stella’s spa colleagues, their husbands, and some personal clients. All the illegal provisions, including drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes, were arranged for these guests.
• Five men and nine women were caught red-handed consuming drugs and alcohol during the raid.
