51-Year-Old Player Collapses After Drinking Water at Surat Cricket Tournament, Heart Attack Suspected

It is often said that death has no set time. A similar incident occurred in the Rander area of Surat city. While playing cricket, a 51-year-old man paused for a drink of water and, after walking a few steps, experienced discomfort. He knelt down in pain, and within seconds, collapsed. 

A crowd quickly gathered around him. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment, where the attending doctors declared him dead. Doctors suspect that Maksoodbhai passed away due to a heart attack.

A Casual Conversation Turned Tragic at the Cricket Tournament

During a cricket tournament organized by the Patni community at the Sultan Gymkhana Ground in Rander, Surat, players were taking a short break, chatting casually on the field. Among them was 51-year-old Maksood Ahmad Bhai Butwala, also known as Montu Sir, who was participating in the match. 

Just like any other player, he stood with fellow teammates, engaging in conversation. A child brought him some water, and he knelt down to drink. After standing up and taking a few steps, he suddenly knelt again, and within seconds, collapsed, leaving everyone around him in shock.

Doctor Declares Maksoodbhai Dead After Sudden Collapse During Cricket Match

During the ongoing cricket match, Maksoodbhai suddenly collapsed on the field. The players present attempted to lift him, but he did not respond. Spectators, who had come to watch the match, rushed onto the ground, and he was quickly taken to the hospital for treatment. However, the attending doctor declared him dead after examination.

A video of the incident during the ongoing match has surfaced. In the video, Maksoodbhai can be seen requesting water and drinking it during the break. After drinking the water, he takes a few steps forward, sits down on the ground, and suddenly collapses. The shocking moment is clearly captured in the footage.

Heart Attack Suspected as Cause of Maksoodbhai’s Sudden Death

Maksoodbhai, also known as Montu Sir, was well-known for running private tuition classes and for his active involvement in social service, helping many people in the community. His sudden death has left his family in deep mourning. Doctors suspect that his death may have been caused by a heart attack.
