Son Averts Father’s Death at 22: CCTV Captures Rajasthan to Ahmedabad Journey, Deliberately Runs Over Father’s Killer

A shocking incident has emerged where a young man avenged his father’s murder at the age of 22. The Rajasthan youth is accused of causing the death of an elderly man in Ahmedabad, who was allegedly responsible for his father’s murder.

On Monday, a 60-year-old man was passing by on a bicycle near the Jnana Bagh party plot in Bodakdev, Ahmedabad, when he was hit by a Bolero car, resulting in his death. The case was registered by the N Division traffic police, and the Bolero driver was arrested.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused was just 8 years old when his father was similarly killed by being hit by a jeep. Consequently, he sought revenge by causing an accident that led to the death of Nakhtsingh, the alleged murderer.

According to reports, on October 1st, Nakhtsingh Bhati, a native of Rajasthan currently residing at Thaltej Titanium Square, was cycling near the Jnana Bagh party plot in Bodakdev when he was struck by a speeding Bolero car from behind.

The collision resulted in Nakhtsingh’s death at the scene. The N Division traffic police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.

Accused Kills Elderly Man Over Old Rivalry

Based on CCTV footage and human sources, the police have arrested Gopal Singh Harisingh Bhati (30 years old), a resident of Rajput Vas, village Ajasar, Tehsil Pokhran, Jaisalmer district, Rajasthan.

During a rigorous interrogation, Gopal Singh Bhati confessed that he had driven the Bolero at high speed with the intent to run over Nakhtsingh. It was revealed that the incident stemmed from an old rivalry between the deceased, Nakhtsingh, and the accused, Gopal Singh, which ultimately led to the murder.

Accused’s Father Murdered in 2002

In 2002, the deceased, Nakhtsingh, murdered the accused Gopal Singh Bhati’s father, Harisingh Khushalsingh Bhati, in their home state of Rajasthan. This longstanding rivalry led to the planned accident, carried out with the intent to kill.

A report has been submitted to the court to add murder charges against the accused, and further investigation has been assigned to the Bodakdev police station.

Murder Charges Added Against Accident Suspect

Given that the murder was a premeditated act, the police filed a request in the Ahmedabad rural court to invoke Section 103 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the accused, which pertains to murder under Section 302.

The Ahmedabad rural court granted approval for the addition of this charge after considering the arguments presented by Additional Public Prosecutor M.S. Sheikh. The court noted that there is prima facie evidence suggesting that the incident stemmed from a previous rivalry between the accused and the deceased, and that the accused was present at the scene of the crime beforehand.

Sentencing Details from 22-Year-Old Murder Case

Based on the confession of the accused Gopal Singh, the police questioned members of Nakhtsingh’s family, who stated that Nakhtsingh and others involved in the murder of Harisingh served only 7 years in jail before being released on bail.

However, Gopal Singh claims that those who murdered Nakhtsingh and his father were released from jail in just 4 months. The case is currently pending in court, prompting the police to begin gathering documents related to the previous case.
