Shocking Hit-and-Run in Ahmedabad: Elderly Man Thrown 10 Feet by Speeding Car, Police Allegedly Chasing Liquor-Laden Vehicle
On October 9, a hit-and-run incident occurred in Naroda, Ahmedabad, where an elderly man waiting near a bus stand was struck by a speeding car driving on the wrong side. The impact was so severe that the man was thrown about 10 feet into the air and landed approximately 20 feet away. The car also collided with a nearby rickshaw.
Tragically, the elderly man lost his life in the accident. The car involved reportedly belongs to the police, and it is believed that the vehicle was chasing a liquor-laden car. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced.
Elderly Man Struck and Killed While Waiting for Bus in Ahmedabad
Natvarlal Prajapati, a 71-year-old resident of Shivdhara Campus on Naroda-Dahegam Road, was waiting at Bilasiya bus stand to go to work when tragedy struck. Two cars were speeding on the wrong side of the road from Naroda towards Dahegam.
One of the cars hit Natvarlal, launching him into the air and onto a nearby passenger rickshaw. Due to severe head injuries, Natvarlal died on the spot. The G Division Traffic Police have registered a case and started an investigation into the matter.
Speculations Arise: Crash Occurred During Chase of Liquor-Laden Car
Following the incident, there has been widespread speculation that the black car involved in the accident was speeding while chasing a liquor-laden vehicle ahead. It is believed that the driver lost control at high speed, resulting in the death of an innocent man.
The impact was so intense that the victim was thrown 10 feet into the air and landed 20 feet away. Discussions are circulating within the police force that, in the pursuit of a liquor haul, an innocent life was lost. The police have now begun an investigation in this direction.

Traffic DCP Safin Hasan stated that the investigation is underway to identify the driver involved in the incident through CCTV footage. He assured that no one, regardless of who they are, will be spared in this case. The police team is actively working to identify the driver responsible for the accident.
