For the First Time in Ahmedabad: Victims of Love Jihad to Join Shiva Procession as Durga Vahini with Bajrang Dal

Currently, during the month of Shravan, devotees of Lord Shiva are immersed in their devotion, performing rituals and worship to please Bhole Nath. On Sunday, September 1st, a grand Shiva procession is set to take place in Ahmedabad city.

This procession will feature Lord Shiva’s traditional attire and display as it moves through the Kot area of the city. Notably, the procession will also include young women who have been victims of “love jihad,” highlighting a significant aspect of this event.

Young Women Starting a New Life After Overcoming Trials

During the month of Shravan, devotees of Lord Shiva engage in worship and prayer, seeking a good life through their efforts. Many young women who have endured significant suffering are emerging from these trials. Particularly, those who fell victim to “love jihad” and faced severe hardships are now finding solace.

These women have received support from the Bajrang Dal, which has assisted them in overcoming their ordeals. They are now leading normal lives and have joined the Bajrang Dal as Durga Vahini members. These women are beginning new chapters in their lives, free from their past struggles.

Bajrang Dal and VHP Take a Stand Against Love Jihad

In this year’s Shiva procession, young women who have been victims of “love jihad” will also participate. This marks a first-time event where these women are coming forward to start anew.

Their inclusion in the procession is significant, as Bajrang Dal and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) plan to organize more programs addressing “love jihad” in the future.

Bajrang Dal Providing Support to Victims of Love Jihad

Jaljit Mehta, the president of Bajrang Dal’s North Gujarat region, informed Divya Bhaskar that all possible assistance is being provided to young women who have fallen victim to “love jihad” to help them return to a normal life.

He emphasized that Bajrang Dal continues to work tirelessly to support any such women who may need help. These women will also join the Durga Vahini in this year’s Shiva procession.
